Who we’re looking for 

We are looking for an intern to join Project Management Real Estate Hotels team in Paris, starting in February or March 2025 for a duration of 6 months.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to acquire valuable skills and experience in Hotel Project Management.

You will have the chance to develop methodological and analytical abilities, as well as gain exposure to various aspects of the industry. Additionally, you will join a dynamic and collaborative team environment, contributing to real-life projects and building a strong foundation for a future career in the field.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team with a significant and robust 20-year track record within the European hotel investment market. With more than 110 acquisitions and more than c.60 sales to date, the team has a wide exposure to the European market and works with most of the operators. This team has outperformed for several years in the hotel industry thanks to his perfect knowledge of the market and its entrepreneurial mindset.

The team

 

The team is responsible for all hotel assets within the group, both in France (50% of the portfolio) and abroad (Italy, Poland, Belgium, Germany, Spain).

Each Project Manager simultaneously manages 3 to 5 projects at different stages of progress. For each asset, a "core team" is formed, consisting of a member from each business area of Schroders Hotels: real estate, development, asset management, and finance.

The Project Management team also contributes to the implementation of environmental improvement objectives for the hotel portfolio.

 

What you’ll do

·         Assist in renovation/restructuring projects, from planning to project completion including:

·         Support in the project requirements design in collaboration with the asset management team

·         Assist in the bidding process

·         Monitor administrative tasks related to urban planning permits

·         Assist in project documentation and regulatory compliance

·         Coordinate with external technical service providers for health, safety, and regulatory compliance

·         Assist in project dashboards

·         Assist in Technical Due Diligence

·         Ad-hoc projects

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

·     You’re enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s degree program in civil engineering or an engineering pathway at a top tier university

·         Excellent academic credentials with – you are looking for a 6-month curricular internship (tripartite agreement)

·         Highly analytical with excellent excel skills

·         Excellent French and English language skills.

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

 

·         Strong interest in hospitality / lodging sector;

·         Willingness to gain experience in project management dealing with various stakeholders as investors, developers, hotel chains, project management assistants,…

·         Proficiency in another European language;
