The Base

We are based at 7 Bryant Park in the heart of NYC. And we have everything we need to work flexibly. We operate a hybrid working model, with a requirement that our Client Associate be in the office 3 days per week. This is to sustain our culture of innovation, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and building relationships within the business.


The Team

This is an opportunity to work interdependently with an engaged team that sits within a global Institutional Sales function at a global asset management firm. 


Position Overview

The Client Associate will work with a team of Client Managers to provide exceptional service and support to our North American based clients, including but not limited to providing accurate and timely reports, addressing basic inquiries, as well as managing and maintaining client account records and information. This role requires someone with the ability to take the initiative and work proactively with the team to ensure we are working in the most efficient manner.  The candidate must have the basic skill set required to develop into a Client Manager.

The incumbent is required to understand all aspects of the client’s accounts, including but not limited to, legal, operations, compliance, and general investment product-related issues. The incumbent is part of a team of Client Managers that supports the client service efforts of the Client Directors.


Responsibilities

Client Service Administration (100%)

  • General assistance to the client service team to fulfill reporting requirements, manage client inquiries and client information.
  • Prepare and assist with monthly and quarterly reporting in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports required by clients and their consultants to be completed by stated deadline.
  • Responsible for servicing tier 3, pooled vehicle clients which includes day to day inquiries, troubleshooting and reporting. Attain a deeper understanding of the needs and requirements of North America clients.
  • Prepare and disseminate communications to our clients via Schroder’s Communication system.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance of CRM database, client distribution lists and other client informational spread sheets.
  • Review and provide corrections of client invoicing that is prepared by Schroder’s Finance Team.
  • Assist in the coordination and completion of internal projects for the Client Service Team.
  • Manage the full cycle of the new account process for pooled vehicles. This includes, but is not limited to, understanding the complexities of the account, gathering and sending the necessary documentation, coordinating efforts internally to complete setup for these clients.
  • Manage account amendments requested by Client Director. This includes preparation, processing, and circulation as stipulated by internal procedures.
  • Manage account termination process by gathering necessary documentation and notifying all concerned parties.
  • Develop technical skills and participate in local/global firm initiatives to streamline processes and functions vital to servicing clients.
  • Follow the policies and procedures as defined by your manager that will allow you to effectively complete your job.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Up to 2 years of experience in client service, operations, sales, or portfolio management support.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and written skills.  An ability to explain relatively complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to others within the organization.
  • Responsible for planning own workload typically against a backdrop of changing priorities and/or external events for the coming month.
  • Ability to obtain Series 7 and Series 63 within 12 months of hire


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in financial services preferred.
  • FINRA Licenses: Series 7 and Series 63 


Compensation

Schroders offers a base salary in a range up to $80,000 for this position.

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
