Overview of the role:

 
You will provide Derivatives support for the global Investment teams. The role is varied covering trade capture, lifecycle events, broker monitoring, new instruments and adhoc tasks for a wide range of OTC derivatives.
You will be extensive liaising with Traders, Fund Managers, Derivative Operations, Data Services, external brokers, and external service providers.


In addition the team is responsible for keeping up to date with derivative related market changes and regulations and communicating these to the relevant Investment teams.  Provide support and guidance to more junior members of the team and assist with the effective management of the day to day running of the team.

 

Skills required: 

 
• Support the OTC derivative capture and affirmation process for the LDI and Structured Funds teams, London and New York Fixed Income and Multi Asset teams, the Commodities/ EMD and Equities teams.
• Monitor industry notifications referencing CDS events, and monitor the end to end credit event process.
• Manage the electronic affirmation, confirmation and clearing processes. Ensure that all matching breaks are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
• Agree, monitor and maintain Clearing Broker credit limits, working proactively with Investment teams to prevent breaches.
• Ensure that end of day checks are completed and a thorough handover is provided to New York.
• Ensure that risks are identified early and communicated appropriately to management.
• Establish strong relationships with internal departments and external counterparties. Work effectively with the team to prioritise work and ensure daily deadlines are met. Communicate appropriately and effectively with internal clients to manage expectations when necessary.
• Ensure procedures and contact lists are kept up to date and assist in creating robust procedures for new systems and processes.
