Role Overview

DLT, Blockchain and Digital Assets are a growing domain which could materially change the landscape of financial services and asset management. This role, based in Singapore, is responsible for supporting the Head of Digital Asset Strategy in understanding how innovations in this area can be harnessed in relation for use within Schroders, or our products and services, where appropriate. The role is also responsible for the implementations of digital asset initiatives as well as developing and promoting expertise of this area within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the identification of commercial opportunities for digital asset innovation, mapped to strategic rationale and implementation considerations.
  • Support our regulatory engagements within the digital assets space, specifically contributing industry working groups and the establishment and production of industry frameworks and standards.
  • Driving initiatives to ensure these are implemented in a risk controlled manner with clear outcomes and learning opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities which blockchain can improve efficiency, scale, and connectivity across the business.
  • Conduct research on digital asset, blockchain and web3 space. Stay connected to market trends and competitor activities to think through future innovative solutions.
  • Support the coordinating of blockchain and digital asset initiatives across the business, ensuring we are working in a collaborate and coordinated manner.
  • Facilitation of governance and stakeholder management for this topic and domain. 

General skills

  • Proven delivery record of driving organisational and business change programmes
  • Experience and knowledge of Asset Management desirable but not required
  • Clear leadership skills demonstrated through experience of transformational change
  • Evidence of multiple senior stakeholder management
  • Strong collaborative skills and when appropriate influence across a broad, senior stakeholder base
  • Methodical and detail orientated
  • Can drive to make decisions 

Technical Skills

  • Experienced in blockchain, digital assets and tokenisation. Demonstrable knowledge of this emerging landscape from a technical and use case perspective
  • Experience with the appropriate methods and tools (e.g. MS Office, workshops, process flows, Visio) to achieve strategy capture and definition
  • Experience in defi protocols and smart contracts desirable not but required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as finance, computing or business
  • Experience in working with colleagues and stakeholders globally and sensitivity to cultural differences
