Who we're looking for
We're looking for reconciliation subject matter experts to join our Group Compensation Accounting team in ensuring the integrity of payroll data is maintained within our internal systems through our monthly reconciliation processes. You will be responsible for; (i) Validating and reconciling payroll data; (ii) Resolving discrepancies and errors; (iii) Production of balance sheet reconciliations for a variety of accounts.

The team
The Group Compensation Accounting team provides accounting services globally for the Group's compensation related costs including the accounting, monitoring and reporting of most staff cost related items. In particular, the team focuses on variable compensation in the form of bonuses, including the complex accounting of deferred awards. The team works closely with most Finance and Human Resources departments globally to ensure compensation costs are properly recorded within both the internal and external accounts.

What you'll do

  • Monitor and reconcile payroll-related accounts and ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions in the general ledger;
  • Validate and reconcile payroll data, including salaries, wages, bonuses, benefits and deductions, to ensure accuracy and completeness;
  • Reconcile payroll tax calculations, including Income Tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension contributions, against the payroll system;
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in payroll data, including incorrect pay, or benefits allocations;
  • Collaborate with HR teams globally to ensure accurate processing and posting of share and fund award exercises;
  • Identifying and implementing ways in which the numerous processes can be streamlined to minimise manual intervention;
  • Work closely with the HR and cash reconciliation function to ensure proper allocation of inbound and outbound payments;
  • Assist Manager to review and update procedures, implement improvements and enforce stringent controls;
  • Prepare monthly payroll journals for UK, America and APAC regions;
  • Prepare payroll correction journals including intercompany recharges for cross boarder payments and 
  • Maintain confidentiality and data privacy in handling sensitive payroll information.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Experience working in a Finance or reconciliations function;
  • Qualification in Finance or Accounting and
  • Strong Excel knowledge is a requirement.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that'll help

  • Experience of Oracle Fusion / SDWorx and
  • Experience of Financial Services.
