What you'll do

  • Take full responsibility for planning, coordinating, and publishing corporate and financial reporting for Schroders plc;
  • Establish a robust project structure and maintain a strong governance frameworks;
  • Promote and take accountability for project quality; identify opportunities for improvement in delivery and oversee the governance process to mitigate risks and ensure informed, timely decision-making;
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of current processes and implement strategic changes to enhance efficiency, such as streamlining data collection and reporting workflows;
  • Own the development of clear goals, milestones, standards, processes, accountability frameworks, and feedback mechanisms, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives
  • Engage in regular and proactive communication with senior stakeholders and cross-functional business partners to ensure alignment on active projects and results; examples include weekly status updates and quarterly project reviews;
  • Implement and maintain accountability trackers to monitor stakeholder contributions, ensuring responsibilities are clearly understood and upheld;
  • Track, monitor, and report on all deliverables and project statuses, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is maintained; utilise project management software for real-time status updates;
  • Prioritise actions strategically to drive project completion, adeptly handling tight delivery pipelines and schedules while balancing competing demands from various departments and
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on regulatory changes and their implications for the business, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Bachelor's degree; a minimum of 5 years' project management experience in a corporate environment, with a demonstrable track record of project success, such as leading the drafting and publication of annual reports or initiating process improvements that resulted in a 20% reduction in turnaround time;
  • Relevant project management qualifications, such as PRINCE2, PMP (Project Management Professional), or Agile certifications;
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and outcomes, evidenced by successful project delivery and adherence to compliance regulations;
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders at all levels;
  • Proven history of inspiring change, delivering results, and effectively managing projects in complex environments, including successfully implementing new reporting standards or financial systems;
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly, clarify context and requirements, identify opportunities, take initiative, and consider long-term implications for corporate reporting;
  • Experience in developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships across functions, demonstrating leadership in cross-functional initiatives with evidence of successful stakeholder management and
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to manage relationships with external parties, such as auditors or regulatory bodies.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • Knowledge and experience in corporate, sustainability, and financial reporting are preferred but not essential and
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in drafting comprehensive reports that communicate financial and operational performance clearly.
