Who we're looking for
We are currently seeking a dynamic Operations Specialist to join our People & Culture team based in London or Horsham. This is a chance to be part of an exciting journey as we establish a center of excellence in HR operations, paving the way for us to innovate the way we manage operational processes by bringing together our London and Horsham teams.
As an Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing a comprehensive HR service to our HR Business Partnering Team. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of administrative, operational, and project management support. From ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of HR processes to managing human resources information and system transactions, you will be at the forefront of delivering professional and top-notch HR services. By maintaining high standards and adopting best practices, you will help shape the way we deliver HR services and drive positive outcomes for our employees and the business as a whole.
To excel in this role, you should have 3 to 5 years of experience in a HR administrative or operations role. This position is perfect for someone who is eager to further develop their career in this field and is passionate about making a difference in HR operations.

The base
You'll be based at our Schroders Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. It's home to our EMEA Operations and Technology Operations hub.
It has the same high standards and international reputation as our HQ in the City of London, without being in the city: a big, countryside campus (and no commute on the Tube) means life will feel a little different.
The team
The People & Culture team is responsible for ensuring that Schroders maximises the return on its investment in people. We do this through the development and implementation of policies and practices that attract, reward and retain high quality employees.
What you'll do
In summary, the role will involve:
• Managing the employee life cycle including processing of new joiners, leavers and transfers, managing leave records, letters production etc.
• Maintenance of employee data by understanding and using the Oracle HR system
HR Administration
• Administer the entire employee life cycle process including joiner, transfer and leaver process
• Take responsibility of the new joiner onboarding and first day induction processes.
• Manage employee and line manager queries as the first point of contact on a wide range of HR queries
• Liaise with the payroll team to process salary adjustments and other employee life cycle events on a monthly basis
• Provide support for continuous monitoring and managing the MiFID process
• Manage the invoicing process for various HR services in a timely manner
• Support year end compensation processes
• Maintain and develop the HR process manuals for improved and accurate usage.
• Undertake in HR projects as and when required
• Provide coverage for the other Operations Specialists as required
• Assist the HR Business Partnering Team with the development and maintenance of human resource policies and procedures.
Data Management
• Manage and ensure the data integrity of records in the HR system
• Maintain the electronic employee filing system
• Provide support for standard and ad hoc reports.
Employee Relations
• Provide note taking support in investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Attention to details and a deep understanding and appreciation of data accuracy
• Process-oriented mindset with a focus on the end goal
• Excellent administrative, organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
• Proficiency in IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of Oracle HR system will be a plus
• Appreciation for confidentiality in handling HR and development matters
• Outstanding client service skills
• Collaborative team player with a track record of delivering results
• Self-motivated and able to work independently towards agreed-upon goals
• Understanding of HR operational processes in a large organization
• Demonstrated curiosity and passion for learning about Asset Management/Financial Services
• CIPD qualification would be advantageous
