As the Product Development Manager at Schroders, you will assist the Head of Product Development, Asia on the development of new products, share class ideas, which includes working closely with the Investment, Distribution and other relevant teams in preparing internal and external materials. 

 

Your key responsibilities include the following:

  • Organise Asia Product Approval Committee (APAC) meetings and liaise with London for the relevant internal approvals
  • Coordinate with different parties for the product implementation after approval received (in particular for Hong Kong) and project-manage product-related initiatives and other relevant projects from time to time
  • Disseminate and coordinate product updates/changes that will impact the region
  • Provide feedback where necessary on any local requirements to the Product Development Team in London as well as relevant teams in Luxembourg 
  • Collaborate with the respective departments such as Legal, Compliance and Distribution to ensure smooth implementation of the product changes. This includes launches and terminations across various regions such as London, Luxembourg and APAC
  • Coordinate within the region on regular updates on product health check and local product activities
  • Assist Distribution teams with product questionnaire and due diligence
  • Work closely with Legal and other relevant teams on the update of product documentation which includes fund prospectus and KFS
  • Assist the  APAC Head of Market Intelligence with market analysis.
  • Work with respective locations and investment teams  in developing relevant competitive analysis and positioning for our strategic and focus products
  • Gather and analyse data and information on market trends, house views, multi-asset views, and flows. 

 

To be successful in this role you should possess the following requisites:

  • Degree graduate with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proactive and adaptable approach
  • Positive attitude and ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues across the business
  • Good technical knowledge from both an investment and regulatory perspective
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential as the role involves working closely with the legal, operations, sales, marketing, investment, and compliance teams
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational, numerical and analytical skills
