Overview of Role/Principle Responsibilities
We're looking for an experienced individual to join our Securities Transfer team with responsibility for all free of payment transfer of all types of securities, funds and private assets. You will be a Securities Transfer subject matter expert with responsibility for a range of tasks, ensuring these are executed in a timely and professional manner. 
As part of this role, you will be able to handle the most complex issues throughout their lifecycle working with our Investment, Operations and Accounting colleagues. You will also be responsible for the team and procedures, managing risk and maintaining a close collaboration with the different business partners to optimise the workflows.
We're looking for someone who will thrive in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on meeting tight deadlines. A strong interest in learning and harnessing technology will help you with your role in the organisation.
You will also be a strong communicator with supervisory responsibility for all work that is undertaken and completed by the team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the team meets its timelines and produces high quality outputs. Will escalate to their managers when required

What you'll do
  • Responsible for processing & managing free of payment securities transfers (Shares, Bonds, Exchange Traded Funds, Options, Mutuals, Hedge funds, and Private Equities);
  • Register and deregister of Swiss Registered Shares at the Swiss Share Registrars and reconcile;
  • Reconcile Swiss Registered Shares (Share Register records against T24 and Registration Database)
  • Investigate and validate if securities can be accepted (Stock Checks);
  • Monitor and troubleshoot unsettled transfers as well as independently resolve securities transfers related enquiries;
  • Realign securities between custodians or different accounts held with Custodians and Transfer Agents;
  • Issue documents for Investment fund transfers and for openings new relations with transfer agents;
  • Process internal transfer of securities;
  • Work through high volumes, prioritise, and manage workload according to risk or deadlines;
  • Assist Manager to review and update procedures, implement improvements and enforce stringent controls;
  • Assist in the training and development of staff;
  • Meet the needs of our business partners and clients establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal functions and external counterparts;
  • Contribute to department and Company initiatives and projects;
  • Utilise department controls and procedures honestly and effectively, taking steps to call out and minimise any problems before they become a risk;
  • Act as a senior escalation point for the team, handling complex and sensitive issues and investigations;
  • Continually challenge legacy processes to ensure they are still fit for purpose;
  • Represent the team in both internal/external meetings, helping to coordinate the flow of communication and implementing any changes;
  • Manage external counterparts to ensure they deliver a quality service to support our functions and
  • Champion the need to deliver positive change and continual improvement for the business, drawing ideas from the team (and others) save time and cost, reduce risk and improve service quality.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
  • Several Years of experience in Securities Transfers;
  • Educated in Financial Services and Banking;
  • Proficient IT user skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Core Banking Applications;
  • Understanding of operational risks and control frameworks;
  • Effective in managing your own time with ability to prioritise tasks;
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills;
  • A strong team player able to develop and manage strong working relationships with global internal departments and external counterparties;
  • Open to feedback, receptive to change, challenges status quo and continually looks out for team and self-improvement opportunities;
  • Dexterity to switch seamlessly between big picture thinking and detailed impact analyses when required and
  • Able to navigate through changes and maintain an innovative culture.
Discharge of responsibilities
The role holder shall ensure that all their responsibilities are performed to the highest levels of integrity, quality and transparency and in a manner most likely to promote the success of the Schroders Group, taking into account the interests of key stakeholders including clients, employees, regulators, suppliers and society as a whole.  
In discharging their responsibilities the individual shall establish appropriate oversight and control structures for all areas under their control where needed.  
Reporting Obligations
In discharging their responsibilities the role holder shall 
  • Ensure that the Securities Transfer Manager is made aware of any issues which you deem material and
  • Provide to the Securities Transfer Manager an annual assessment of their own performance against objectives agreed with them.
