We are seeking an experienced Senior Reconciliations Analyst to join our established Reconciliations team at our Schroders campus in Horsham on an 18-month fixed term contract. This role will involve providing client-focused, best-in-class support to global stakeholders across the full cost lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities


As a Senior Reconciliations Analyst, you will report to the Reconciliations Manager and will be responsible for:


•    Allocating cash transactions for bank accounts across multiple entities.
•    Investigating unallocated cash and resolving discrepancies.
•    Producing balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts, including cash.


Candidate Profile


The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a focus on controls, and an operational mindset. You should be able to critically analyse processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency. We expect you to develop into a subject matter expert in reconciliations, leveraging your prior experience in finance, accounting, or an operational role.


Team Structure


The Reconciliations team, alongside Supply Chain Services, Purchasing, and Payables, forms the established Broadlands Purchasing and Payment Service Centre. This efficient, best-in-class capability services Schroders offices globally. The team consists of approximately 5 professionals responsible for:


•    Allocating cash transactions for corporate bank accounts across various entities.
•    Collaborating with Payables, Receivables, and Finance teams to investigate unallocated cash.
•    Producing accurate balance sheet reconciliations for a range of accounts.


Key Duties


•    Manage allocation of cash transactions in Oracle Fusion cash management for all bank accounts across operating entities.
•    Investigate unallocated cash with both internal and external parties.
•    Produce balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts, including cash.
•    Liaise with Group Treasury and Payables teams to investigate returned funds.
•    Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable function to ensure proper allocation of inbound payments.
•    Serve as a point of escalation for issues arising during reconciliations.


Essential Qualifications


•    Demonstrated experience within an operational team.
•    Proven background in accounts or reconciliations functions.


Desirable Qualifications


•    Experience with Oracle Fusion and/or Coupa Treasury.
•    Background in the Financial Services sector.
