Sustainability Associate / Private Equity

 

Position overview

We are looking to hire a Sustainability Associate in our Sustainability & Impact team as we work to maintain our leadership position.

In this global and diverse role, your priority will be to support the team with the implementation of our Sustainability & Impact strategy, to review and maintain ESG and impact assessments and frameworks, lead our ESG and impact reporting process and a multitude of other related projects and tasks.

The role daily interacts with internal and external stakeholders such as: the investment teams globally and investees, product management, fund operations, client teams, and ESG and impact professionals across Schroders, and industry working groups.

Key activities

·     Support the firm’s leadership in sustainability and impact within the private equity industry by contributing to the firm’s internal and external Sustainability & Impact objectives.

·       Work as part of the global investment team on continuous integration and enrichment of our sustainability and impact methodologies, tools and systems.

·        Overseeinternal and client S&I reporting, including data collection initiatives.

·     Address and advise on ESG and impact considerations during due diligences for new investments as well as continuous engagement through their lifecycle.

·         Maintain S&I documentation, marketing materials and address client requests.

·         Conduct market research and analysis covering relevant policy, legislation or private equity-related sustainability developments.

 

 

Required profile

·         Bachelor's degree related to business or finance. A Master’s degree and sustainability-related programme or courses are a plus

·         3+ years’ work experience in sustainable finance or corporate sustainability, some investment experience is a plus

·         Excellent project management and execution skills with the ability to develop working plans and meet challenging deadlines

·       Excellent research and analytical skills and the ability to present conclusions in a clear and well-structured manner as well as the ability to develop creative solutions

·    Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint; Experience working with large data sets, data analytics and data visualization tools, work  experience with a technology team is a plus

·         Collaborative and driven individual with exceptional work ethic who can execute in a global, diverse and demanding team environment

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Problem solver, out of the box thinker, entrepreneurial spirit

·         Fluent English language a must, German and other languages a plus
