Who we're looking for
We are looking to a Valuation Specialist to join our Fund Operations team. The Valuation Specialist will be an integral part in executing the monthly and quarterly valuation processes for our semi-liquid product offerings. You will be instrumental in the valuation of our direct debt and private market fund investments, the ongoing monitoring of our portfolio investments, and in advancing tools and processes using technology.
The position will offer a fast-paced and intellectually challenging work environment that offers accelerated exposure to private markets and increasing responsibility. 
The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge within the private market space.

The team
Schroders Capital is the private markets investment division of Schroders Group. With $65bn AUM and 498 employees we cover a broad range of asset classes out of 19 offices globally. We provide investors with access to a broad range of private equity investment opportunities across buyout and growth investments, as well as for venture capital with a focus on what we consider the most attractive parts of the global private equity market.


What you'll do
•    Monitor and perform valuations of our direct and co-investments, primary and secondary fund investments across a broad array of private market strategies
•    Collaborate with external valuation providers for our direct real-estate and infrastructure debt instruments 
•    Produce concise, informative valuation reports for a variety of recipients (such as boards, audit committees and investor communication)  
•    Interact closely with internal and external parties, in particular investment managers, general partners, pricing committees, third party valuation firms, and auditors 
•    Contribute to the development of portfolio monitoring and valuation tools 
•    Support special projects within your area of responsibility 


The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
•    5+ years of experience in the financial industry within the area of valuation or deal advisory
•    A self-directed individual with experience in executing valuation processes under time-sensitive deadlines 
•    Strong familiarity with the principles and methodologies used in illiquid assets' valuation
•    Proficiency in using MS Office, Capital IQ, with knowledge of programming languages and analytics' tools 
•    Degree in a relevant discipline such as business, finance or accounting (CFA charter holder or working towards a similar designation would be considered a plus)

•    Fluent in another European language, both written and spoken
