Who we're looking for.

As a result of our pace of growth over the last five years, Schroders Capital’s Private Debt & Credit Alternatives (PDCA) business is hiring a Product Executive to support the continued growth of its business, notably its infrastructure debt platform.

 

The Product Executive will be responsible for supporting all product related initiatives across our infrastructure debt investment strategies (debt) in cooperation with other PDCA Product and Solutions teams, and act as project manager to assist in all fundraising activities for existing and prospective investors from content creation, market research, investor queries, sales support, reporting processes to spreadsheet-based modelling/analysis. 

 

The role will involve acting as a strong foundational resource for this product management role and an effective link between the Investment and Sales functions. The role will predominantly represent the Infrastructure Debt strategies, as well as the broader private debt business, internally and externally, including to clients, prospect and consultants.

Schroders Capital is the Private assets platform for the Schroders group with over $90bln AUM. The platform incorporates Private Equity, Real estate, Infrastructure Equity and Private Debt & Credit Alternatives. Schroders Capital has ambitious growth plans for its PDCA business and the expansion of its real assets & private credit capabilities is one of the key Strategic goals of the group. 

 

What you'll do:

Assist and lead on deliverables associated with all fundraising activities, including:

  • Market research on competitors, target investors, infrastructure sectors/markets, ESG/sustainability trends;
  • Contribute to new product launches in partnership with our internal stakeholders in product development, operations and legal. This will include: working alongside our operations team to coordinate fund closings, the legal team to draft LPAs and PPMs as well as and support the product development teams on future Infrastructure strategies;
  • Prepare marketing materials related to our infrastructure platform for fundraising activities including: presentations, flyers/fact sheets, internal documents, DDQs, quarterly investor newsletters and maintaining data rooms;
  • Work alongside the Sales teams to support client servicing, account planning, as well as coordinate and attend investor meetings;
  • Create, write, update and maintain all product language and data for products in the RFP databases and work with RFP and client portfolio managers to complete and customize RFPs, DDQs and RFIs as needed;
  • Support the due diligence, set-up and execution of new mandates and client solutions;
  • Prepare, understand, calculate and report portfolio characteristics, statistics, and other investment data for our products;
  • Write product and client monthly and quarterly commentaries including market updates, performance commentary using attribution, positioning and outlook;
  • Update consultant and client databases with product data and portfolio information;
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and responses for daily product and client queries; and
  • Research, organize and attend relevant conferences to support core fundraising activities.

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need:

  • Bachelor degree required (CFA or advanced degree a plus);
  • 3-5 years of work experience in investment banking/capital markets, placement agent, investor relations, financial accounting, management consulting or investment consulting;
  • Knowledge of fixed income and private credit markets preferred;
  • A good understanding of fixed income, credit alternatives and/or private credit is preferred;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Highly organized, pursuing a structured approach to deliverables with strong project management skills;
  • Highly developed verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Strong content creation skills (high level of proficiency in MS PowerPoint) and strong technical/ numerical skills (high level of proficiency in MS Excel);
  • Strong networking skills and proactive approach to working with colleagues across the business, but equally adept at working autonomously;
  • Highest ethical standards, integrity and discipline;
  • Clear interest in Sustainability & Impact; and
  • Preference for candidates with additional European language skills.
