Project Manager Opportunity - Financial Services Sector

Location:
 Schroders Business Campus, Horsham

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with 5-10 years of solid expertise in delivering projects within the Financial Services advice sector. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead and implement internal and external change projects at Benchmark Capital, driving business and technology-oriented initiatives to successful completion. You will align your efforts with our Financial Planning Value Stream, ensuring high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, Financial Adviser facing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget while maximizing client satisfaction.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including business cases, resources, scope, schedules, and risk management strategies for large-scale projects.
  • Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders and senior business partners to secure buy-in and resource allocation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, facilitating timely decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the PMO for accurate forecasting, reporting, resource allocation, and risk tracking.
  • Ensure 'business readiness' and manage resistance and stakeholder plans throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Negotiate resource requirements in alignment with project priorities.
  • Share expertise in project management, supporting your business domain while utilizing appropriate project management tools.

 
Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing and delivering projects within the Financial Services sector.
  • Strong technical acumen and understanding of Information Security Compliance.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and engagement capabilities.
  • Familiarity with the project life-cycle and disciplines of executing multiple complex projects.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on finding effective resolutions.
  • Prince2 Practitioner certification or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in delivering information security compliance projects.


Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Insight into the IFA and Wrap/Platform industry within Financial Services.
  • Background in managing complex development projects.
  • Familiarity with IT CRM systems and associated processes.
