The base

What you'll do
The role title is Real Estate Analyst, reporting directly to Philip Scott, Fund Manager & Head of Manchester, based in Schroders Capital's Manchester office. 

The role is a for a qualified (or soon to be) Chartered Surveyor or Chartered Financial Analyst with real estate experience to assist with fund, portfolio, asset and transaction management, and assist with Schroders sustainability strategy.


The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
•    Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field
•    RICS accreditation (or preparing to undertake) or CFA charterholder
•    demonstrable knowledge and experience working across real estate markets, including investment underwriting
•    portfolio analysis and management and an interest in sustainability practices
•    strong analytical and financial modelling skills and confident working with excel
•    excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
•    confident and clear in conveying their recommendations and rationale
•    a proactive team player with an established network or desire to build one


What you'll be like
•    engaged on fund/portfolio management initiatives including performance monitoring/analysis and fund strategy
•    work alongside the fund team and asset management platform on real estate transactions and be expected to lead acquisitions/disposals/underwriting and the co-ordination of legal and technical due diligence
•    able to identify economic factors that could impact on an investment, undertaking appropriate analysis and making recommendations to the fund teams and asset management platform in respect of the same
•    assist with the asset management of a diversified portfolio of assets. This will include the formulation, production and execution of an annual business plans
•    comfortable liaising with a variety of internal teams and external advisors such as legal, valuation, property management; third party asset managers
•    assist with the preparation of formal and adhoc investor reporting and client presentations
•    responsible for monitoring and reporting on sustainability metrics and ESG performance, collaborating with the central sustainability teams where required, to ensure both asset and fund level targets are met
