Who we're looking for at Schroders Wealth Management

We're looking for a Relationship Management Assistant (RMA) to join the Wealth division of the Schroders group. The ideal candidate would be someone who is passionate about delivering excellent client service and investment management for our clients.

You will work alongside the Relationship Managers and will be a critical part of the team, in some cases serving as the first port of call for clients in their dealings and administrative requests. You will take a proactive role alongside the Relationship Manager in delivering excellent client service. You’ll be busy, hands-on and can-do. You will develop deep technical knowledge of our processes and systems and work across the business to challenge, develop and improve our processes and foster a wider understanding. 

What you'll do

  • Support Relationship Managers to manage clients' portfolios in line with their investment wishes, our rules and the regulations, whilst developing relationships of trust 
  • Be a point of contact for our clients, react to all enquires in a timely manner and maintain a record of responses
  • Handle administrative duties promptly for our clients, such as cash transfer requests and monitoring overdrafts
  • Set up accounts for new clients and arrange meetings with them
  • Create cash-transfer requests, liaising with Relationship Managers and complying with regulations to make sure we meet clients' instructions
  • Check clients' transaction statements, monitor outstanding deals and report any errors
  • Help to ensure client accounts are compliant and in-keeping with current regulation and procedures
  • You may be asked to contribute to business-wide client service and internal process committees. You will build a strong internal network and have a good understanding of the key client service issues affecting the business
  • Work closely with our operations teams to make our clients' experience seamless
  • Help with assessing portfolio suitability and performance and prepare investment proposals 
  • Carry out trades in client portfolios in line with instructions and investment recommendations 
  • Combine regular daily tasks with longer term projects with varying deadlines whilst responding to incoming enquiries 
  • Maintain and update your knowledge through continual professional development (CPD)

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • 2-3 years working experience in the wealth management sector
  • Excellent IT skills, especially with the Microsoft Office suite
  • A keen interest in helping our clients and their families
  • An interest in global financial news and markets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken) and an ability to multi-task
