Overview of role

Portfolio Manager (Mid-Level) - The investment management of Taiwan Equity portfolios

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed the investment performance objectives for fund/mandate portfolios assigned to manage.
  • Co-work and support with senior Taiwan equity portfolio managers on research and portfolio management.
  • Ensure that the portfolios are managed in accordance with the stated investment process/ client requirement/ risk profile.
  • Provides market outlook and portfolios updates to clients in Taiwan. 
  • Provide investment research and investment ideas to Taiwan Equity, Asian Equity, Emerging Market Equity and Related Parties.
  • Co-work with institutional sales team to expand the business by win the mandates continuously.
  • Ensure that personal training is sufficiently undertaken each year to satisfy threshold competency requirements
  • Always in compliance with internal compliance and laws applied to the industry.
  • Maintain internal stock pool coverage/ ESG status reports for the coverages.

Qualifications

  • Degree graduate in Economics, Finance or Business
  • CFA or advanced degree (or equivalent) is a plus
  • 5~10 years of relevant working experience in Taiwan Equity research/ portfolio management
  • Strong Taiwan equity fund/ mandate management performance track record
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in Mandarin and English.
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  • With Senior Securities Broker Certificate or Securities Investment Trust and Consulting Broker

Must possess good interpersonal / communication skills and/or written skills. Ability to explain relatively involved concepts in a clear and concise manner to others internally / externally
