Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an Acquisition Analyst to join our Acquisitions team. The ideal candidate will possess analytical prowess, meticulous attention to detail, and a keen interest in gaining insights within a fast-paced corporate M&A environment. This role offers invaluable exposure and hands-on experience in executing numerous M&A deals.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing and tracking acquisition opportunities and managing the deal pipeline.

Support target assessments and screening, valuation, and synergy analysis which includes:

Financial analysis of target business data, reviewing financial statements, and management reports to assess alignment with Benchmark’s strategic goals.

Preparing valuation models and internal rate of return calculations.

Facilitate and manage the due diligence process, coordinating efforts between internal and external stakeholders (e.g., sellers, legal counsel).

Collaborate with all Acquisitions team members, Integration team, and internal stakeholders throughout the acquisition process.

Support the preparation of Board papers (e.g., investment memos) and relevant transaction documents.

Monitor historical acquisitions to assess financial performance and integration success.

Conduct ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Relevant degree or accountancy qualification, or equivalent experience.

Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.

Ability to process large data volumes and draw key conclusions.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in client-facing roles demonstrating strong interpersonal capabilities.

Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Exceptional administrative and time management skills.
