The team
Schroders’ Data Office (SDO) team is Schroders’ central data strategy, operating model, education and governance function. The function provides Data oversight to the entire Schroders Group, enhancing our data capabilities to drive business value through data and support the company vision to improve data literacy and governance.


What you will do:
•    Support the development and execution of a comprehensive data maturity assessment across the group, to evaluate current data processes, identify gaps and develop a strategic plan for improvement
•    Support the conceptualisation, design and delivery of data-centric products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs
•    Assist in creating clear, engaging educational content, including presentations, guides, newsletters, and digital resources that promote understanding and application of data insights.
•    Support training workshops and events designed to improve data skills and awareness throughout Schroders.
•    Gather feedback and use analytics to assess the impact and effectiveness of communication efforts, recommending improvements as necessary.
•    Help maintain an internal repository of data communication assets and resources, ensuring they are easily accessible to relevant teams.
•    Actively contribute to the promotion of a data-driven culture, encouraging staff at all levels to engage with and use data more effectively.


The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
•    2-5 years of experience in a (management) consultancy role, or data role in an investment management environment•    Knowledge of the Data Management value chain and end to end processes
•    Strong analytical and written communications skills, capable of converting complex information into concise and understandable formats


The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
•    Educated to a minimum of first / Bachelors degree
•    Investment management experience gained primarily in Buy Side organisations, across a number of areas, such as:
o    Different Investment business lines, such as Public Markets (e.g. Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset), Private Markets (e.g. Private Equity, Real Estate, Private Debt) and Wealth Management
o    Key functions of an investment manager, e.g. Front, Middle and Back Office, Distribution, Product Development, Technology and Corporate Functions
•    Experience of data product design and design thinking
•    Professional or higher level degree qualifications (e.g. DAMA, DCAM, C+J SS etc.)
•    Strong understanding of Collibra and Solidatus software
