Who we’re looking for
Schroders Capital Management France (SCMF) is looking for a Portfolio Operations Specialist to support the growing Infrastructure Debt business. The person will take responsibility of the administration of several infrastructure debt funds and related transactions.
The role is an opportunity to support and strengthen the current Portfolio Operations team which currently administers and monitors around 28 different funds, vehicles & mandates and over 100 transactions.
The position is ideal for a motivated individual who wants to play a proactive role in a developing business.

What you’ll do
The Portfolio Operations Specialist will be involved in the control, support and monitoring of Infrastructure Debt funds and support the team with the execution and administration of private debt transactions managed and advised by SCMF.
The main tasks will be:
1. Control and support with the acquisition of new transactions
· Assist the Investment Team in the acquisition of debt transactions & relevant processes such as eligibility checks, withholding tax & the control of purchase recommendations etc.
· Prepare capital calls or check the capital calls prepared by an external service provider
· Execute or assist with the settlement of the transaction
2. Daily management of transactions and asset portfolios
· Set up and update transaction monitoring tool (eFront) with initial and ongoing transaction information
· Resolve differences in calculations and coupon dates with borrower and/or agent and ensure the correct receipt of flows, following up on acquired receivables
· Daily maintenance of investments in WorldCheck, reacting to alerts and escalations as needed as well as maintain KYI/AML database and relevant reporting
3. Oversight of investment funds, reporting and control of NAV
· Day to day oversight of the Fund Administrators including validation of the NAV, Capital Calls and Distributions
· Updating monitoring tool (eFront) to review/calculate management fees, reconcile invoices, book fund activity and ensure cash flows correctly accounted for
· Contribute to the production of regular reports and/or verification if they are produced by external service providers
4. Business Support
· Provide input to new business initiatives in the design, structuring and set-up of new structures to ensure operating frameworks are set up appropriately and service providers are appropriately selected and appointed.
· Input into service provider oversight including attending service review meetings and supporting annual due diligence activities.
· Build, maintain and develop good working relationships between the team and its internal/external clients and suppliers
· Complete other ad-hoc projects and tasks from time to time as well as answering internal and external information requests
5. Contribute to strong controls and governance
· Actively contribute to the improvement of existing operational processes
· Work with relevant parties to ensure Schroder group policies are adhered to and existing procedures and practices are refined to reduce operational risk and updated as required
· Prepare information for internal Committees, Fund Boards or other government bodies
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
· Business school degree or university degree
· Minimum six years of experience in asset management industry: Middle Office, Back Office, Audit or an Accounting firm
· Strong level of English and French required
· Established understanding of debt financial instruments
· Knowledge of investment funds and companies administration: Fonds Commun de Titrisation (FCT), Fonds Commun de Placement (FCP), Sociétés Anonymes, Société de Libre Partenariat (SLP), Limited Partnership (LP), Luxembourg Investment Vehicles (SA, SCS, SCSp, RAIF) etc…
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
· Experience (preferably about 2 years) within a middle office team with open-ended funds/semi-liquid vehicles (with underlying private assets).
· Knowledge of investment fund accounting (local accounting principles as well as IFRS standards, setting up the NAV, valuation of assets, etc...)
· Experience with transaction monitoring tool such as eFront is also a plus, but not required
