Who we’re looking for

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Student/Intern to join our Finance Data Services (FDS) team in the Luxembourg Finance department. FDS forms part of the Global Finance Operations division which operates service centres in London, Luxembourg and Singapore that provide data management, revenue, cost, cash and reporting solutions to the Schroders Group globally.

The selected candidates will be expected to provide a tripartite internship agreement from their university or business school.

The team

 

Finance Data Services, as part of its data management role, collects and enhances client assets under management and flow information from Schroders funds and segregated accounts worldwide. This data is consolidated into a central data repository and is used in multiple Finance Operations processes such as revenue allocation, rebates calculation, billing, Group AUM reporting and operational reporting. The team ensures the data quality by conducting thorough data checks and controls. The same data is used to support Group operational and MI needs in multiple other functions such as Distribution and Investment.

What you’ll do

As an intern in Finance Data Services, you will be involved in the following projects:

·         Data aggregation via new data feeds and the enhancement of data integration functionalities

·         Data breakdown implementation

·         Specific internal Programs

 As part of these projects, your responsibilities will include:

·         Data analysis, Reconciliations, Implementation and Process documentation

·         Ad-hoc analysis and projects, supporting group initiatives

·         Reconciliations

·         Work with mapping tables, cross-coding and data set migrations

·         Daily data checks and data set-ups from global locations

·         Static data administration by using several systems, but also MS Excel / Access

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

·         A background in Engineering, Economics, Accounting and/or Finance

·         Fluent English both written and oral – additional European language skills would be of benefit

·         Good organizational skills and computer literacy in Excel
