We are looking for an Investment Director to join our Emerging Market Equities team based in London.

The team


With more than 50 experienced members of staff located in London, Sao Paulo, Dubai and Asia, Schroders Emerging Markets Equities team manages over $37 billion across 10 strategies on behalf of institutional and intermediary clients around the world. 

What you'll do


•    Represent the investment team in prospect, client and consultant meetings to present the investment philosophy, process, performance and positioning of our investment strategies and discuss the team’s investment outlook.
•    Support the client group to communicate investment process and performance and respond to external queries.
•    Manage all regular reporting produced by the investment team, including creating and reviewing content.
•     Lead on sustainability reporting for internal and external use, including creating case studies.
•    Assume responsibility for regulatory sign-offs and product attestations.
•    Oversee the RFP process, including content creation.
•    Contribute to the development of marketing materials and be responsible for their ongoing maintenance.
•    Act as primary liaison with the dedicated EM equity product team.
•    Maintain in-depth investment knowledge (attend investment team meetings, read research reports etc.) to represent the investment team with authority.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

•    Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree in related field a plus
•    Substantial industry experience 
•    Prior experience in portfolio management, equity research or investment banking.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

•    Prior experience in emerging markets an advantage
•    CFA charterholder (or equivalent) preferred.
