Who we're looking for
 
We are looking for a Lead Analyst 1 to join our Client Service Administration team which will be part of our new Client Service Global Centre of Excellence (CoE).  The CoE administration functions will be performed from both our Horsham and Luxembourg offices. You will be part of a new team that will be responsible for providing client service administration support to Global Client Service teams within the Client Group (e.g., platform data management, annual audit requests, client service data production, reporting etc).  
 
As a Client Services Lead Analyst 1 you will, on a day to-day basis, be responsible for a range of tasks. Your focus will be on delivering the more complex activities within the team, ensuring these are executed in a timely and professional manner. You will work independently in carrying out your activities, whilst also supporting less experienced members of the team in completing their tasks.  
 
You will ensure a focus is maintained on client service excellence when delivering on your-day-to day activities and be open to change and challenge processes to ensure continuous development and improvement. You will be joining a new team that has the ability to shape the future of Client Service Administration.

What you'll do
 
Client and Platform Data Management
 
Support more complex data gathering from various sources, complete complex file formats and upload to the platform 
Ensure data is complete and accurate and resolve all upload errors in a timely manner
Respond to Client due diligence requests on Schroders entities e.g. SIM EU and/or Schroders fund structures and arrange quality assurance before submitting to requester.
Confirm purchase orders cover invoices and provide to the Accounts Payable team for processing
 
Client Service Data Production (KPIs)
 
Produce various KPI reports, e.g., onboarding stats for senior management
 
Client annual information audit for segregated mandates
 
Respond to the requests from auditors for annual audit information required for segregated mandates, ensuring all requirements are produced and reasonability checks are prior to providing to the auditors.
 
Client Information Updates, Administration, and Non-Standard Communication
 
Produce draft communications to platforms and distributors informing them of fund corporate actions and events, e.g. fund mergers, closures, ad hoc events in the market.
Once reviewed and approved by appropriate teams, send to the platforms and distributors by agreed communication means.
 
Query Management
 
Respond to client queries raised by the internal teams in relation to the teams' activities by investigating issues, such as checking data points in platform reporting.
Monitor the SIM EU Client Query Management (CQM) mailbox and route queries to appropriate teams.
Centralise queries from clients or Schroders Client service teams regarding Data and Fund reporting matters, e.g missing factsheets and coordinate with the Data and Fund Reporting or Client Reporting teams in Horsham to ensure responses are provided.
 
External Reporting (including ad hoc regulatory reporting requirements)
 
Using data from internal and external sources produce accurate and complete reports for review, adhering to agreed production schedules and distribute once quality assurance activities complete to relevant parties. 
 
Fund Dealing 
 
Ensure SLAs are being met in terms of executing the requests (for example redemption instructions to be sent by fax to the TA) to meet cut off timeline.
 
Other responsibilities  
  
Prioritise and manage own workload on a day-to-day basis according to deadlines.
Ensure department controls and procedures are followed honestly and effectively, taking steps to raise any problems to management before they become a risk.
Carry out activities with a continual continuous improvement mindset to challenge processes to ensure they are effective.
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team and support on a day-to-day basis more junior members of the team as required.
 
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
 
Strong attention to detail to ensure delivery of high quality, accurate outputs.  
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate liaison with key stakeholders and external parties. 
Able to problem-solve.
Able to plan, organise, prioritise and schedule to ensure own and team deadlines are met
Have financial services knowledge - familiar with the asset management industry, investment products, and regulatory requirements is beneficial. This includes understanding funds and segregated mandates.
A strong teamwork mindset able to develop and manage strong working relationships with global internal departments and external counterparties.
Be open to feedback, receptive to change, able to challenge status quo and continually look out for self-improvement opportunities.
Able to navigate through changes and maintain an innovative culture.
Advanced Microsoft skills especially Excel.
Experience in Power BI would be an advantage.
Fluency in a European language, such as French, German or Italian would be an advantage.
